June N.Y. BCI Slips to -9.41 From -4.55 in May: Fed

The Empire State Manufacturing Survey "indicates that conditions for New York manufacturers continued to deteriorate in June, at a moderately faster pace than in May," the Federal Reserve Bank of New York reported yesterday, as the general business conditions index widened to negative 9.41 from negative 4.55 in May.

Thomson Reuters's survey had expected a negative 4.50 reading.
