Roosevelt & Cross Brings in Kulakowski as VP in N.Y.

New York-based Roosevelt & Cross Inc. said it has hired Walter Kulakowski as a senior vice president of public finance in its New York office.

Kulakowski joined Roosevelt & Cross from financial adviser Environmental Capital LLC, where he had been a senior vice president. Before joining Environmental Capital, he worked at Smith Barney and Citi, where his last position was a director.

Herman Charbonneau, Roosevelt & Cross senior vice president and manager of public finance, said Kulakowski will work with a number of revenue bond issuers in New York and New England.

Kulakowski has "extensive experience in the fields of resource recovery, state revolving funds, and other environmentally oriented financings," according to Charbonneau.

Charbonneau said the firm plans to hire on both the banking and sales sides. It will look to strengthen its coverage area in New York, New Jersey, and New England and branch into the Middle Atlantic states while adding to its revenue bond capabilities.

"Roosevelt & Cross is a solid firm that has been consistently and substantially profitable, and it has a very strong presence in the area we work in," Charbonneau said. "We are in expansion mode and trying to add people both in sales and on the banking side."

Roosevelt & Cross ranks 10th as a senior manager in New York this year, working on 71 deals with a par value of $439.9 million, according to Thomson Reuters. It ranks ninth as a senior manager in the Northeast, working on 126 deals with a par value of $936.9 million.
