New York City business activity expanded for the first time since January 2008, according to the National Association of Purchasing Management — New York’s Report on Business.
The current business conditions index soared to 61.3 in May from 28.3 in April, the NAPM-NY reported Friday.
The report’s six-month outlook index dropped to 56.1 from 51.2. The NY-BCI dropped to 361.6 from 356.0.
