Obituary: Christopher F. Randolph

Christopher F. Randolph, a former Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers public finance banker, died on May 22 in New York. He was 64.

Mr. Randolph was a vice president at Salomon Brothers and a managing director at Lehman Brothers during the 1980s and 1990s.

A former Marine, Mr. Randolph also had retired as president and chief executive officer of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduation and later served as an executive officer and commanding officer of Mortar Battery, 2d Battalion, 12th Marines in Okinawa and Vietnam.

Mr. Randolph also worked as a senior staff member for Sen. Jacob K. Javits and also as executive vice president and director of Academic Management Services.

Mr. Randolph had a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he became the 16th generation of Randolphs to attend. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia; his daughter, Kate; his son, Christopher; his brothers Haughton and Frank Randolph; his sister Anne Randolph von Kuhn; and his mother, Gwendolyn Randolph Franklin.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at St. John's Church of Cold Spring Harbor, 1670 Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y. A reception will follow.
