Wells Fargo Hire Sales Professional in Minneapolis

CHICAGO - Wells Fargo & Co. this week announced the hiring of a new sales professional Jeff Johnsonin the Minneapolis headquarters of its brokerage and sales division.

Johnson, a 15-year veteran of the financial industry, will sell both taxable and tax-exempt products in his work for Wells Fargo Brokerage Services LLC. He previously worked for US Bank and Piper Jaffray & Co.

"Jeff's experience and consultative selling style are a great fit for our platform," Mike Harlander, regional sales manager for the financial institutions sales team in Minneapolis, said in a statement from the firm.

"IBS has two sales teams dedicated to serving customers - one focused on corporate and public entities and the other on financial institutions, such as community banks, trust departments and money managers," Harlander added. "As a member of the financial institutions sales team, Johnson will deliver a full range of fixed income products, as well as services including portfolio analytics, accounting and safekeeping to his clients."

The firm has been in a growth mode, hiring new bankers and other professionals, and expanding its presence since 2006 when it announced a goal to double its public finance revenue by 2010.
