ECRI Inflation Gauge Dips to 117.2 in April

U.S. inflationary pressures were lower in April as the U.S. future inflation gauge fell to 117.2 from a revised 117.4 in March, originally reported as 116.4, according to data released Friday by the Economic Cycle Research Institute.

The smoothed annualized growth rate, a comparison of the latest figures to the preceding year’s average level, narrowed to negative 2.0% from negative 2.3%.
