Treasury 4-Week Bills To Pay Down $11B

The Treasury Department yesterday said it will sell $9 billion of four-week discount bills today.

The four-week, or 28-day, bills will pay down $11 billion and refund $20 billion of maturing bills.

The bills have an issue date of Jan. 17 and are due Feb. 14.

Federal Reserve banks hold $12.568 billion of maturing bills in their own accounts.
