Durable Goods Orders Drop 0.3% in March

U.S. March durable goods orders fell 0.3% in their third drop in a row, but there were a few signs of life in the otherwise dismal report. The last time there were three consecutive declines in orders was February-April 2001, during a recession.

Non-transportation orders posted up 1.5% and nonmilitary orders posted a 0.3% increase.
