Health Agency Reappointment

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has re-appointed Judith Frank to the board of the California Health Facilities Financing Authority. The announcement came Wednesday.

Frank, a Los Angeles real estate executive, has served on the board since 2002. She is a Republican.

CHFFA is a conduit issuer of tax-exempt bonds for nonprofit health care organizations, and also offers loans to health care groups and apportions state bond money to children’s hospitals.

A nine-member board, chaired by the state treasurer, governs the authority. It includes appointees of the governor, the Senate president pro tempore, the Assembly speaker, and a representative of the state controller.
