WASHINGTON — Initial claims for state unemployment were unchanged at 353,000 in the March 8 week, the Labor Department reported yesterday.
Analysts had expected claims to rise to a level of 355,000 in the March 8 week. The previous week’s initial claims level was revised up slightly to 353,000 from the previously reported 351,000 level.
