Cash Management Bills Draw 0.930% High Rate

The Treasury Department Friday sold $30 billion of 94-day cash management bills, due Jan. 22, 2009, at a 0.930% high tender rate, and $30 billion of 74-day cash management bills, due Jan. 2, 2009, at a 0.800% high tender rate.

The bid to cover ratio on the 94-days was 2.34. The coupon equivalent was 0.945%. The price was 99.757167. The low bid was 0.100%. The median bid was 0.650%. Tenders at 0.930% were allotted 98.94%. Tenders totaled $70,074,262,000 and the Treasury accepted $30,000,022,000, including $41,762,000 of noncompetitive.

The bid to cover ratio on the 74-days was 2.56. The coupon equivalent was 0.812%. The price was 99.835556. The low bid was 0.100%. The median bid was 0.600%. Tenders at 0.800% were allotted 28.17%. Tenders totaled $76,663,895,000 and the Treasury accepted $30,000,105,000, including $10,105,000 of noncompetitive.
