The Treasury will auction $26 billion of 91-day bills and $25 billion of 182-day discount bills. The 91-day bills are dated Sept. 11 and due Dec. 11, and the 182-day bills are dated Sept. 11 and due March 12, 2009.
The Treasury announces the auction of $12 billion of 10-year notes.
Consumer credit figures for July are released by the Treasury Department.

 

Tuesday, September 9

Pending home sales figures for July are released by the National Association of Realtors.
Wholesale trade figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.

Thursday, September 11

Initial jobless claims for the week ending Sept. 6 are released by the Labor Department.
Import and export price figures for August are released by the Labor Department.
International trade figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.
The federal budget deficit or surplus for August is released by the Treasury Department.
The Treasury will auction $12 billion of 10-year notes.

Friday, September 12
Retail sales figures for August are released by the Commerce Department.
Business inventory and sales figures for July are released by the Commerce Department.
Producer price figures for August are released by the Labor Department.
Preliminary consumer sentiment figures for September are released by the University of Michigan.
