Texas’ Clint ISD Raised To A by S&P

Standard & Poor’s raised its issuer credit rating on Texas’ Clint Independent School District’s existing general obligation debt to A from A-minus based on the district’s historically strong financial performance and position.

At the same time, the agency affirmed its AAA enhanced program rating on the district’s existing debt.

In addition, Standard & Poor’s assigned its A and AAA enhanced program rating to the district’s $30.2 million series 2008 unlimited-tax school building bonds.

The outlook is stable. The enhanced program rating reflects the security of the Texas Permanent School Fund guarantee.
