A story published Thursday in The Bond Buyer incorrectly reported the status of teachers' pay raises in Texas' Duncanville Independent School District over the past two years. The district provided a pay raise to its staff in fiscal 2008, but the fiscal 2009 budget does not provide for a salary increase. The story also misstated the district's underlying rating from Moody's Investors Service. The agency rates the district A2.
"Folloing recent yield moves, a generic muni index is now down 1% on the month with no real sub-sector showing much deviation from that result," said Kim Olsan, senior vice president of trading at FHN Financial.
