FSA Subpoenaed By Conn. A.G.

Financial Securities Assurance Holdings Ltd. disclosed yesterday that it has received subpoenas and requests for information from Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut’s attorney general, “related to antitrust concerns associated with the municipal rating scales employed by Moody’s [Investors Service] and a proposal by Moody’s to assign corporate equivalent ratings to municipal obligations.”

The company made the disclosure in a 10-Q financial statement for the second quarter filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
