RFP Deadline Today

The District of Columbia’s request for proposals for bond counsel contracts are due today.

“Our current contracts are expiring and we put the RFP out to get new contracts,” said Treasurer Lasana Mack.

Firms would advise on deals for the district’s fiscal 2009 to fiscal 2012 financial plan, which includes about $1.9 billion of bonds to be issued, as planned under the fiscal 2009 budget.

According to the RFP, the district is looking for several law firms to provide bond counsel assistance and advice to the chief financial officer’s office. The CFO office of contracts will award multiple contracts for a base period of one year with four one-year option periods. Solicitation documents are available through e-mail by contacting contract specialist Dorothy Whisler at Dorothy.Whisler@dc.gov.
