$4B Library Ballot Advances

The California Senate this week approved a bill that would ask  voters to approve a $4 billion general obligation bond measure for libraries.

The bill got the two-thirds majority it required after two minority Republicans crossed the aisle to vote in favor of it Tuesday, sending it on to the Assembly.

The bill would put the bond measure before voters in 2010.
